🔗 What's New We are excited to introduce the concept of Cost Code Groups. This new functionality allows organizations to group cost codes logically and assign these groups to specific team members. As a result, when team members clock in or out, they'll only see the cost codes that are relevant to them, rather than the entire list of cost codes assigned to the project. 📍What's Changing Previously, all workers would see every available cost code after selecting a project. This often led to confusion and mistakes, with workers sometimes choosing incorrect codes simply because they had too many options. Now, by showing only the cost codes within a relevant group assigned to each worker, we are making the process simpler and more accurate. ✳️ Why We Are Doing This The main benefit of this change is to reduce the likelihood of errors in cost code selection. Fewer errors mean less time spent by timecard approvers correcting mistakes. Ultimately, this ensures that your job costing data is more accurate, which means your dashboards and reports will reflect real costs without inflated or deflated figures. 🛠️ How to Get Started To start using Cost Code Groups, admins can navigate to the Cost Code management section in Workyard (Under Project Hub), create logical groupings of codes, and assign these groups to the appropriate team members. Once set up, the changes will take effect immediately for those users.
